  • Participation details: your unique registration code, the events you have registered for, and, where applicable, your quiz scores and results.

  • Technical information: our website is hosted on the Wix platform, which may automatically collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device information through cookies and similar technologies.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process your registration and payment, and issue your unique registration code and event confirmation.

  • Send you essential event communication, such as joining instructions, schedule changes, results, and certificates.

  • Verify your identity and registration when you join a quiz or use our self-service tools (such as code lookup or certificate download).

  • Announce winners and deliver prizes, where applicable.

  • Respond to your questions and support requests.

  • Improve our events, website, and services.

  • Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.

We will only send you promotional communication about upcoming quizzes and events if you have provided your contact details to us through registration or enquiry, and you may opt out of such communication at any time by contacting us.

  • Razorpay — to process payments.

  • Wix — which hosts our website and stores registration data submitted through it.

  • Quiz hosting platforms (such as crowd.live) — limited details, such as your registration code or display name, may be used to conduct the live quiz.

  • Email delivery services — to send you registration confirmations and event communication.

These providers process your information under their own privacy policies and security standards. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

 

4. Data Storage and Security

Your registration data is stored securely within our website's database on the Wix platform, which employs industry-standard security measures. Access to participant data is restricted to authorised members of the Quiz Village team. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

5. Data Retention

We retain your registration and participation details for as long as reasonably necessary to administer events, issue certificates, handle any disputes or refunds, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time (see Section 7), subject to any records we are legally required to keep, such as payment and tax records.
