Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Quiz Village, an online quiz platform. By registering for or participating in any quiz, event, or activity hosted under the Quiz Village brand, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility

Participation is open to all individuals who complete the registration process and payment of the applicable entry fee (where applicable), unless otherwise specified for a particular quiz or event. Some events may be free to enter or restricted to specific groups (e.g., age categories or teams), and any such conditions will be stated on the relevant event page.

2. Registration and Payment

  • Registration for paid events is confirmed only upon successful payment of the entry fee through our designated payment gateway (Razorpay).

  • Each participant will receive a unique registration code and/or event confirmation via email upon successful registration.

  • It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that the email address and mobile number provided during registration are accurate, as all event communication — including the participant's unique code, joining instructions, and schedule updates — will be sent to the details provided.

  • Registrations are personal to the participant and may not be transferred to another person without our prior consent.

3. Event Participation

  • Quizzes will be conducted live online on the platform communicated to participants at the time of registration (such as crowd.live or any other platform we may designate).

  • Participants must use their unique registration code and follow the joining instructions provided to take part in the quiz.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and a compatible device to participate.

  • We reserve the right to disqualify any participant found using unfair means, external assistance, multiple registrations to gain undue advantage, or engaging in disruptive or abusive behaviour during any event or in any Quiz Village community space.

  • Decisions of the quizmaster and the Quiz Village team regarding questions, answers, scoring, and results are final and binding.

4. Prizes (Where Applicable)

Where an event offers prizes, the prize details, winner selection criteria, and mode of prize delivery will be communicated on the event page or during the event. Winners may be required to provide accurate contact and delivery details to receive their prize. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

5. Changes to Events

We reserve the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any event, or change its date, time, format, or platform, due to unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be notified of any such changes via the email address provided at registration. In case of cancellation of a paid event by us, refunds will be processed as per our Refund Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All quiz content, questions, answers, branding, logos, artwork, and materials are the intellectual property of Quiz Village / Arcot Ventures and may not be recorded, reproduced, shared, or distributed in any form without prior written permission.

7. Code of Conduct

Quiz Village is intended to be a friendly, welcoming community. Participants agree to treat fellow participants, hosts, and organisers with respect. We reserve the right to remove any participant from an event or community space for harassment, offensive language, or behaviour that disrupts the experience of others, without refund.

 

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any technical issues arising from third-party platforms (including the quiz hosting platform, Razorpay, email delivery services, or the participant's own internet connection or device) that may affect a participant's ability to join or complete a quiz. Our total liability in relation to any event shall not exceed the entry fee paid by the participant for that event.

 

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued registration for or participation in our events after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
